Zevenbergen: The Jan Provily boarding school for boys was formerly housed in this building. Vincent began his studies there after the summer of 1864 - he was then 11 years old - and stayed until he was accepted at the High School In Tilburg two years later. Later on Vincent recalled how his parents had taken him to Zevenbergen. The letter shows strong feelings of abandonment.
