Etten-Leur: Vincent looked close to home for his models. There was his father's gardener, and Lambregt Oostrijck the deacon at the reformed church. The Protestant farmer Cornelis Schuitemakers who lived in the Heike and received alms money from Vincent's father sat as a model, on one occasion for the drawing Worn Out. We can see from a map that Vincent drew with his younger brother Cor where he found his models. Alexander de Graaf lived at that time in the verger's house. This is where the Vincent van Gogh Information Centre is now housed, where you can see a documentary presentation and a film about Vincent's period in Etten.
