Nuenen: The artist Anthon van Rappard, whom Vincent had met in Brussels in 1880, visited Van Gogh several times when he was living and working in Nuenen. They went out painting together. They studied at the weavers and they also visited two watermills in the vicinity together: the Opwetten watermill and the watermill at Gennep, both located on the River Dommel. In a letter to Van Rappard, Vincent referred to his visit to the Collse watermill.
