ASML short film 'A letter to Brabant'
ASML launches short film honoring Van Gogh's spirit of innovation and perseverance
Campaign celebrates ASML's vibrant partnerships with Van Gogh Museum and Van Gogh Brabant
Technology company ASML has launched a short film called 'A letter to Brabant' on its website and social channels. The film incorporates Vincent van Gogh's own words taken from letters to his brother, and celebrates the painter's spirit of innovation and perseverance. Van Gogh was born in Brabant, the region in the Netherlands where ASML too was born.
The film will be the centerpiece of a six-week digital awareness campaign that celebrates the vibrant partnerships between ASML and the Van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and Van Gogh Brabant (Noord-Brabant province, The Netherlands). These partnerships aim to preserve the painter's heritage and share his story with the world.
Van Gogh was a man committed to his ideas with unfaltering hope in his success. His story is one of ambition, perseverance and trusting in yourself in the face of criticism and hardship. It's a story that started in Brabant and went on to affect the whole world. It's a story that ASML identifies with - to honor where you come from, to keep experimenting, to never give up, to try and fail and try again. And, all the while, to remain confident that any challenge can be overcome.
The short film will feature on ASML's website and social channels from November 9, 2021. It is available in English and Dutch. It will also be shown in the following cinemas (as part of the commercial reel) between November 11 and 25, 2021: Kinepolis Breda, VUE Den Bosch, Pathé Eindhoven, VUE Eindhoven, Pathé Tilburg, and Cinema Gold Veldhoven. The film was created and produced by creative agency Wolfstreet and the campaign was run by digital agency MERKLE.
