Permanent Exhibitions Nuenen

In Nuenen in the late 19th century, poverty was rampant. It inspired Vincent to capture the harsh existence of those times. Weavers, farmers, farm workers. The huts. Life in Nuenen, the life of Vincent van Gogh, the family Van Gogh, the landscape and his friends: it is covered in detail in the museum's permanent exhibition. The many studies leading up to his first masterpiece, The Potato Eaters, naturally also receives a great deal of attention. It shows his dedication and perseverance, and the significance of this work for him.

Vincents Lichtlab invites you to play with color and light, just as Vincent did in his time in the many studies of people and objects, inside and outside. In the film room you can enjoy the film Becoming Vincent, made especially for our museum and others.
