Zundert: On March 30, 1853, Vincent van Gogh was born in Zundert. His birthplace was replaced in 1903 by the current building, which has housed the Vincent van GoghHuis since 2008. Vincent enjoyed a carefree childhood in this Brabant village. Within the harmonious family he shared not only a room but also the bed with his younger brother Theo. On the family's long walks, he conceived his love of nature. Vincent left Zundert for good in July 1869. But he often thought back to it with melancholy.
