Etten-Leur: Vincent regularly visited D'n IJzeren Pot farm, where Piet Kaufmann lived with his mother and younger sister. The farm was demolished in the 1960s, but it does appear in a drawing by Vincent of a girl with a rake. Most likely Elisabeth Kaufmann was the model here. The letter sketch of a road with pollarded willows could well have been drawn from the farmhouse. Piet, who was also gardener to Reverend van Gogh, was a regular model of Vincent. He was the model for the other letter sketch.
