Nuenen: The painter Anthon van Rappard, who had met Vincent in Brussels in 1880, visited him several times while he was living in Nuenen. They went out to paint together. They studied weavers and together visited four watermills in the area: the Opwetten watermill, the Collse watermill, the Genneper watermill (Eindhoven) and the Hooydonk watermill (Nederwetten), all located on the Dommel River. In a letter to Van Rappard, Vincent refers to their visit to the Collse watermill.
