Van Gogh Village by Size

This program consists of a tour of the Museum accompanied by a guide and in-house counselors. This is a special arrangement for the elderly with dementia, the blind and visually impaired, the deaf and hard of hearing, the mentally challenged, among others.

• Tours can take place outside regular Monday hours, but other times are also possible.
• The program lasts about 2 hours, including coffee/tea break, and is possible for groups of up to 25 people, including accompaniment.

From a mobile Van Gogh studio, participants, guided by an artist/teacher, will work together. The teacher lets participants discover how to express emotions just like Van Gogh. Through the combination of touching objects, drawing and sharing experiences, she stimulates participants' self-confidence. The goal is to discover together the emotional effect and expressive potential of art, regardless of age and ability.

• Group size 12 to 15 participants (excluding guidance that does not participate).
• Workshops can be provided by appointment in your own area or a location of your choosing.
• The project was created in collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum.

In your own environment, in a location of your choosing, you will become acquainted with Vincent from Nuenen in word and image. In this presentation we will "walk" in his footsteps, as it were, along the still visible places that he immortalized on canvas during his most productive period as a painter. We hear stories and anecdotes about his stay of nearly two years in Nuenen.

• The presentation will last about 90 minutes and there will be detailed explanations by guides.
• A break may be taken by arrangement and a small sale of Van Gogh gift items may be held.
• The presentation can be provided by appointment.
