Successful afternoon for people with disabilities

"How welcome we were, super just" reads a message we received from Archipel Zorggroep de Akkers in Nuenen. Monday afternoon, September 25, the Van Gogh Village Museum was open free of charge to people with disabilities as part of Dementia Week. Over 80 visitors took advantage of this. It was a truly special crowd, and even a single waved-off volunteer was in attendance. Funny thing is that sometimes the audio tour had to be set to 10. Special was how Vincent's Light Lab, created in collaboration with ASML also worked with this group: the sensory experience of playing with color and light was nice to see. And of course the old objects in the museum, a look back to how things used to be. It produced wonderful conversations, and many moments with beaming faces.
