Exposition The New Vincent 2023
The New Vincent is a talent program for children ages 10 to 14 with a passion for drawing. The program was held this year in Zundert, Tilburg and Nuenen. This weekend and next weekend the new Vincentes will be announced, immediately followed by exhibitions featuring the works of the young talents.
Nuenen
On Saturday, Dec. 16, of is the private announcement and opening of the exhibition The New Vincent in Nuenen at the Van Gogh Village Museum Nuenen. The exhibition with works by the 15 talents can be seen until January 7 during the opening hours of the museum.
Tilburg
On Sunday, Dec. 17, is the private announcement of The New Vincent in Tilburg. This is at the same time the opening of the exhibition in Kunstpodium T of the work of the 15 drawing talents who participated in the talent program of Vincents Tekenlokaal. Opening hours for the public: December 20 to 23, December 27 to 30, January 3 to 6 (all days 13.00 to 17.00).
Zundert
The private announcement of The New Vincent in Zundert is on December 23.
The final exhibition of 15 enthusiastic participants for the public takes place from Saturday, December 24 at the Vincent van GoghHuis. The works can then be viewed through January 6 during the museum's opening hours.
Initiative
'The New Vincent' is an initiative of Vincents Tekenlokaal for young people between 10 and 14 years old who love nothing more than drawing. They can compete for a place by submitting their most inspiring drawings. From these, 15 illustrators will be selected who, starting in May, will follow an intensive program that concludes with an exhibition and the appointment of 'The New Vincent.' The goal of the program is for the participating young people to further develop their talent, discover their signature and build a portfolio. The talent program is subsidized by the province of North Brabant and will take place this year in Nuenen and Zundert in addition to Tilburg. The intention is that next year Etten-Leur will also join.
Varied program Major inspiration for this talent program is Vincent van Gogh, who as a 13-year-old boy took drawing lessons at the HBS in Tilburg; the site of Vincents Tekenlokaal.
