Sneak preview Vincent's Lightlab

Light and perspective through Vincent's eyes

Van Gogh Brabant and ASML are working together to realize a new exhibition about Brabant's greatest icon Vincent Van Gogh. Technology, art and creativity come together in a special way and are given a permanent place in the renovated Vincentre museum in Nuenen.

Explore and experience light the way Vincent van Gogh did: wonder, investigate, learn and create. The Vincentre in Nuenen is expanding with 'Vincent's Lightlab,' an interactive experience around 'light,' designed by Tinker imagineers on behalf of Van Gogh Brabant with partner ASML. The big idea behind Vincent's Lightlab is Vincent van Gogh's quest for perspective and light in his Brabant period. Visitors will actively experience that quest.

Impression

Light is color, and color is light. But what is color? What is light? What do we actually see? How does that work, experiencing light? What can you do with it yourself? A promise: you will see things you have never seen before. After your visit, you will look differently at the world around you.

The renovated Vincentre will open in 2023.

Light and perspective

The painting "The Potato Eaters" was the result of Van Gogh's intensive search for perspective and light that characterized his Brabant period.
