Changes

The 'Becoming Vincent' bid book outlines plans for future exhibitions and experiences at the Van Gogh Heritage Centres in Zundert, Etten-Leur and Nuenen. The aim is to tie in as strongly as possible next year with the major exhibition Van Gogh's Intimate Circle, starting in late September 2019 at Het Noordbrabants Museum.

Nuenen is working hard to start an expansion connected to the current Vincentre as soon as possible. This means a more than doubling of the number of square meters. In Nuenen, the story of The Potato Eaters is central.

New construction is also planned in Etten-Leur next to the national monumental Van Gogh Kerk. A multimedia experience of Vincent's ups and downs in the form of multimedia projections has been devised as a concept for the church itself.

For Zundert, the plan is to take the visitor, much more extensively than at present, back to young Vincent's childhood years.
"They will be where Vincent was and they will see what Vincent saw. They will get inside his head and experience his quest."
(Tinker, Bidbook Becoming Vincent)

Using in-depth exhibits, films and "experiences," the ambition is that by 2025 more than 120,000 paying visitors annually at Brabant will almost literally step into the daily life of Vincent van Gogh.
