Drawing Room

Vincents Tekenlokaal has moved to a new location at Ontdekstation013 in the Spoorzone in Tilburg. There will be a festive opening on Sunday, March 4. The public is welcome between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to check out the new place and inaugurate the drawing tablets. Eight years after moving into Palace Council House, the drawing room sought renewal. The search for a new location yielded not only a beautiful spot, but also a very suitable partner. Ontdekstation013 and Vincents Tekenlokaal see the collaboration in the Spoorzone in Tilburg as a perfect fit. The drawing room can be visited during Ontdekstation013's opening hours: Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As of spring 2009, Vincents Tekenlokaal was housed in the Palace-Council House. Here was once the school, a State HBS, that had Vincent van Gogh as a student. The digital drawing room has now been moved to Ontdekstation013, a place that promotes technology among young people.

A room with glass walls has been built in Discovery Station013: Platform Vincents Tekenlokaal. The transparent space can be closed off so that concentrated drawing can be done, with the environment of the Discovery Station 'coming in' as inspiration. The number of drawing computers is larger than before. Twenty draughtsmen can work digitally at the same time. In addition, there is ample opportunity to work on paper.

The drawing room can be visited in two different ways. During Ontdekstation013's opening hours on Wednesday afternoons and on weekends, everyone is welcome to drop by. With the 5 euro entrance fee for Ontdekstation013 you also visit Perron Vincents Tekenlokaal and Perron Ontdekrijk. It is also possible to schedule a group visit outside these opening hours. This could be for example birthday parties, a family outing, a digital drawing lesson with a company or any other visit with a group of people.
Talent development and drawing education go well with technology education. Therefore, there is a great desire to offer joint workshops that take place both in the drawing room and discovery station. In addition, there are plans to encourage adult use of the drawing room.

You can reach Vincents Tekenlokaal at boekingen@vincentstekenlokaal.nl, 06-5353 3679 and at Vincents Tekenlokaal on Facebook. The new address is Burgemeester Brokxlaan 20, Hall 79, 5041 SB in Tilburg.
