Van Gogh in the Barony of Breda
Van Gogh lives in the Barony of Breda, his native region. At the end of May, regional network LandStad De Baronie presented a summer paper ('On the road in the Barony of Breda') with a print run of 171,500 copies, also focusing on Van Gogh.
Over 146,000 vacation newspapers are distributed door-to-door in the municipalities of Alphen-Chaam, Baarle-Nassau, Breda, Etten-Leur, Gilze en Rijen, Oosterhout, Rucphen and Zundert. Another approximately 25,000 copies are distributed via the VVVs, tourist information points, vacation parks, hotels, b&b's, libraries, etc.
The newspaper was created for the fourth year in a row thanks to a collaboration between LandStad De Baronie, the VVVs and tourist information points in the region and the publishers Em. de Jong and De Bode.
The publication was made possible by a large number of advertisers. According to Bert Kandel, chairman of LandStad De Baronie, the newspaper represents what the regional network stands for: cooperation, connecting, strengthening and surprising!
The Barony of Breda
The Barony of Breda, a region with a lot of history, culture and nature. With beautiful routes and spots for walking, cycling, sailing and much more. With characteristic monuments, fascinating museums and cultural hotspots. With top restaurants and farm stores for honest local produce.
The Baroniekrant is packed with great tips for family outings, special events and inspiration to discover new things. The newspaper also contains two beautiful pages about Vincent van Gogh, who was born and raised in the region. Various heritage sites in Zundert and Etten-Leur are highlighted.
But there is also aandascht for the Van Gogh offer in the rest of Brabant and for cooperation with Drenthe.
Of course, the Van Gogh bike trail and the Van Gogh National Park hiking trails are also covered.
