Construction is about to start!
Today in Nuenen the construction of the expansion of Museum Vincentre started. The Province of North Brabant, the Municipality of Nuenen, ASML, Van Gogh Brabant and the construction team of Museum Vincentre gave the starting signal by dismantling together the fence that closed off the construction site.
The current museum will remain open until the fall until we connect the two buildings, and we expect to be able to reopen the doors of the completely renovated museum in the spring of 2023

The renewed exhibition brings Vincent's life in Nuenen to life even better. The idea is that you go along with Vincent: you look from his perspective at places and landscapes that inspired him.
In addition to the permanent exhibition, you can also experience Vincents Lichtlab in the new museum, which is being realized in cooperation with ASML. The new building also has space for temporary exhibitions. realized in cooperation with ASML.
Nationally, as well as internationally, interest in the life and work of Vincent van Gogh remains strong. In Nuenen we have seen the number of visitors increase every year, and the current museum is too small. Interest in Vincent van Gogh in Nuenen also remained strong during recent years.
The completely renovated museum was designed by Architectenbureau diederendirrix of Eindhoven, with the village and Brabant character of the past, as the starting point. The contemporary version of a long-roofed farmhouse is being built with natural and honest materials, by Ban Bouw from Nuenen.
