Van Gogh Brabant, Van Gogh Village Nuenen and GLOW pay colorful homage to Vincent's masterpiece with this work of light art. From his dark Brabant work to the light explosion of his French period. The light artwork brings both stories together.
The sunflowers will be on display next to mill De Roosdonck, one of the many Van Gogh Monuments in Nuenen. Near the house where the de Groot family lived, eating a bowl of potatoes together at the table in the Potato Eaters.
The sunflower art installation will be on display every night during GLOW 2021, from Nov. 6 to 13.
'Sunflowers for Van Gogh' is a collaborative project by Eindhoven-based light artist Hugo Vrijdag and Gu Yeliang from Nanjing. During GLOW 2019, this light project was audience favorite.
